Netflix ISP Speed Index for April 2025

Three percent of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) saw an increase between 0.2 and 0.6 Mbps, 84% stayed the same, and 13% decreased 0.2 Mbps this month on the Netflix ISP Speed Index , our monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.

Nine countries and regions were in the top performance tier in April: Hong Kong, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States all registered an average speed of 3.4 Mbps.

This month saw notable improvements across several ISPs around the world. In Europe, Spain's MASMOVIL DSL rose by 0.6 Mbps, climbing from 2.4 to 3.0 Mbps, while Orange DSL increased by 0.2 Mbps, moving from 2.8 to 3.0 Mbps. Finland's Lounea also rose by 0.2 Mbps, from 3.2 to 3.4 Mbps. In the Caribbean, Massy Communications in Trinidad and Tobago improved by 0.6 Mbps, rising from 2.4 to 3.0 Mbps. In Central and South America, Honduras' TEVISAT climbed by 0.4 Mbps, moving from 2.4 to 2.8 Mbps; Claro in Costa Rica rose from 3.2 to 3.4 Mbps; and Vivo Internet in Brazil improved by 0.2 Mbps, moving from 2.2 to 2.4 Mbps. In the Middle East, BOnline in Kuwait increased by 0.4 Mbps, from 2.2 to 2.6 Mbps, while Mobily in Saudi Arabia improved by 0.2 Mbps, rising from 2.8 to 3.0 Mbps. In Asia, Taiwan Broadband climbed by 0.2 Mbps, from 3.0 to 3.2 Mbps, and FPT Telecom in Vietnam rose from 2.8 to 3.0 Mbps.

South Korea was the only country to show an overall average speed increase this month, rising from 3.2 to 3.4 Mbps since March's results .

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime-time Netflix performance on a particular ISP and not a measure of overall performance for other services or data that may travel across the specific ISP network. Higher Netflix performance generally means better picture quality, quicker start times, and fewer interruptions. We also created a separate tool to check your current download performance: Visit https://FAST.com on any internet browser or download the FAST Speed Test iOS or Android app.
