Trump Administration Invests in Atoka Fire, Police Departments

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Oklahoma State Director Zachary Swartz announced today that the Trump Administration provided $100,000 to the City of Atoka.

The Administration's investment will provide the city with a new police cruiser to support law enforcement activities and a brush fire truck to help combat wildfires in the surrounding community.

"President Trump continues to follow through on his promise to Make America Safe Again by supporting a first responder community," said Swartz. "With this investment by the Administration, we are further strengthening our front-line response to combat crime and help reduce wildfire threats in southeast Oklahoma."

The funding is provided through USDA Rural Development's Community Facility Programs. This program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural Oklahoma. Rural Development is a leader in helping rural America improve the quality of life and increase the economic opportunities for rural people.
