Full Nighttime Freeway Closures Eastbound State Route 4 (SR-4) from San Pablo Ave. to Cummings Skyway in Hercules.

Contra Costa County - Caltrans has ongoing paving and repair work scheduled on Eastbound State Route 4 (SR-4). Motorists traveling Eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) toward eastbound State Route 4 (SR-4) will be detoured. State Route 4 on-ramps from EB I-80 closed.

Closure Schedule:

• Friday, October 10th -7 PM to 6 AM
• Saturday, October 11th - 7 PM to 6 AM
• Wednesday, October 15th - 7 PM to 6 AM
• Thursday, October 16th - 7 PM to 6 AM
• Friday, October 17th - 7 PM to 6 AM
• Saturday, October 18th - 7 PM to 6 AM

Direct Route via EB I-80:

1. Continue east on I-80 to the Cummings Skyway exit.
2. Exit onto Cummings Skyway Rd.
3. Turn right onto Cummings Skyway Rd.
4. Turn right onto the EB Highway 4 onramp.
5. Commuters from NB/SB San Palo to EB SR-4 should take EB I-80 onramp and exit at Cummings Skyway to EB-SR-4.

All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Please follow posted signs and detour routes during the closure periods. Westbound SR-4 traffic is not expected to be affected. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time.
