TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - SR 141 Northbound Nighttime Closure
SR 141 Northbound Nighttime Closure
Newport- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that SR 141 northbound will be closed nightly between the Boxwood Road exit and SR 2 (Kirkwood Highway) nightly from Monday, September 8, 2025, through Friday, September 12, 2025 (weather permitting). The closure will be in place each night from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
This closure is necessary for the instillation of overhead sign structures.
Detour- SR 141 NB traffic will be directed to N. James Street northbound to a left turn onto Boxwood Road. Continue on Boxwood Road westbound to a right turn onto Newport Gap Pike. Follow Newport Gap Pike northbound to SR 2 (Kirkwood Highway).
