HACU International Plenary to focus on access, mobility and student success

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced speakers for the International Plenary of its 40th Annual Conference "40 Years of Championing Higher Education Success: One Graduate at a Time," taking place Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center in Chula Vista, California.

The International Plenary, "Global Pathways: Expanding International Access, Mobility and Student Success," will explore how international partnerships, exchange programs, and cross-border academic collaborations can strengthen retention, degree completion, and global career readiness.

The session will also address strategies for aligning internationalization efforts with equity goals and workforce needs.

Featured speakers include Cynthia Teniente-Matson, Ed.D., president of San José State; Maria Mineta Ramirez, Ph.D., president of Laredo College; Vanya Quiñones, Ph.D., president of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; and Raúl Martín Martín, Ph.D., vice rector for internationalization at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
