DeLauro Statement on Preliminary Injunction for Revolution Wind Project

Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released a statement following a U.S. District Court preliminary injunction allowing work to resume on Connecticut and Rhode Island's Revolution Wind offshore wind energy project:

"This ruling is a welcome step forward for Connecticut's working families. Revolution Wind has been through years of rigorous review and is nearly complete. The Department of Interior should recognize what this court has affirmed: there is no national security concern that justifies stopping this project, only an urgent need to finish the job.

"More than a thousand union workers have already poured millions of hours into this project, which will deliver reliable, low-cost energy to hundreds of thousands of homes in Connecticut and Rhode Island. I will fight actions by the Trump Administration that would raise costs for working- and middle-class families in Connecticut and kill thousands of jobs."
