Amador County

Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 49 & 88

Amador County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-88 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control at the Mokelumne River Bridge (Amador/Calaveras County line) for bridge work through Friday, November 8, 2024.

State Route 88

  • One-way traffic control from Foster Meadow Road to Corral Flat Road for drainage work beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Sunnybrook Railroad Crossing for utility work beginning Wednesday, October 16, 2024, through Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Pine Grove Volcano Road for utility work beginning Thursday, October 17, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Raven Road to Carson Drive for drainage work beginning Sunday, October 13, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
