Stable TV Viewership in Poland in February as Warner Bros. Discovery Retains Top Spot

Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony features in top 10 programmes of the month

Warsaw, Poland, 23.03.26: Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data, and analytics, has today published its All Screens Video Landscape Report looking at data in Poland from February 2026. The report sees Warner Bros. Discovery hold on to top spot in the distributor rankings, a position it reclaimed in January for the first time since May 2025.

The All Screens Video Landscape Report tracks total household viewership (defined as a combination of total reach and time spent) in Poland across four screens - TVs, PCs/laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

There were two notable changes in the top 10 during February. Firstly, TVP (now 2nd with 18.18% share and up from 17.21% share in January) and Polsat (now 3rd with 16.7% share down from 17.54% share in January) swapped places. TVP was the main Winter Olympic Games broadcaster which helped to boost its February ranking. Lower down, Canal+ moved up to ninth place with a 2.26% share, as SPI dropped to tenth with 1.99%.

Warner Bros. Discovery cemented its position at the top of the rankings, with an increase in share from 18.35% in January, up to 19.01% in February.

Streaming viewership remained practically unchanged whilst there was a very slight decline in traditional TV viewership in February.

February was the month that saw the Winter Olympic Games and the Opening Ceremony was one of four Olympic broadcasts to feature in the top 10 programmes of the month. This, however, was not enough to drive increased overall viewership growth in Poland during the month. Any incremental gains that the Winter Olympic Games might have created were offset by the school winter break with many Poles taking the chance to go away during this period, therefore creating an almost stable viewership across the month.

Lucyna Koba, Market Leader, Nielsen Poland, said: "February's data perfectly illustrates the dynamics of the Polish video ecosystem. While tentpole sporting events like the Winter Olympics reliably drove audiences to TVP, this didn't artificially inflate total market viewership. Instead, the winter school break created a counterbalance, pulling families away from their primary screens. The fact that streaming remained flat and traditional TV saw only a marginal dip amidst these seasonal shifts highlights a highly mature market. Warner Bros. Discovery's ability to cement its number-one spot in such a stable, competitive landscape proves that consistent, multi-screen engagement is the key to winning Polish audiences."
