For the second annual Southern Gothic Lecture Series, Dr. Kendra Hamilton will give a lecture titled "Hoodoo, Voodoo and The Gullah Geechee People at the Nation's Founding." This is great context for the Ryan Coogler film Sinners.

The lecture will take place Feb. 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Pat Peterson Museum Education Room, 221 North Clarke Street, Georgia College & State University campus, Milledgeville, Georgia 31061. It's free and open to the public. A reception and book-signing will follow.

This series is generously supported by the Georgia Humanities, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, through funding from the Georgia General Assembly.
