ANDREW to Relocate and Expand Richardson-Based HQ

The City of Richardson is pleased to announce ANDREW will relocate and expand its HQ within the city, reinforcing Richardson's role as a hub for advanced manufacturing and technology-based employment. The company will move from 2601 Telecom Parkway to a nearby facility at 2920 Telecom Parkway, where it will lease approximately 42,000 square feet of office, engineering, and lab space under a long-term agreement. The relocation supports ANDREW's continued global growth and strengthens the company's presence in Richardson, where its senior leadership, global headquarters, R&D teams, and advanced testing functions are based.

"ANDREW has long been a valued employer in Richardson, and we are pleased the company has chosen to further invest in its headquarters here," said Richardson City Manager Don Magner. "This relocation underscores confidence in Richardson's business climate and aligns with our strategic focus on attracting and retaining innovative companies that provide high-quality jobs and sustained economic investment."

The move builds on Richardson's strengths, including its skilled workforce, access to transportation infrastructure, and proximity to major institutional partners such as The University of Texas at Dallas and DART.

Andrew's Expansion Investment

As part of the relocation, ANDREW will make a capital investment of more than $2 million to support tenant improvements and the addition of new furniture, fixtures, and equipment at its new Richardson facility. The relocation includes a minimum ten-year lease for approximately 42,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space at 2920 Telecom Parkway.

The expansion will retain the company's current workforce in Richardson and support the potential addition of highly skilled positions in the coming years.

"Richardson has been the historical home of ANDREW for decades, and we are proud to continue building our future here," said Farid Firouzbakht, Group General Manager. "This relocation is a natural evolution that allows us to strengthen our headquarters, expand our R&D and testing capabilities, and support the long-term growth of our global organization. Staying in Richardson reflects our commitment to continuity-honoring our roots while creating a foundation for the next chapter of innovation and leadership."

Richardson's Economic Development Support

To support the relocation and expansion, the City of Richardson has approved a $150,000 business retention grant structured around the company's commitments to lease space, capital investment, and job retention and creation.
