Dairyland Power and Dunn Energy Cooperative Support the Colfax Public Library

Dairyland Power Cooperative, in collaboration with Dunn Energy Cooperative, presented a $2,000 donation to the Colfax Public Library on Monday, Oct. 27, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to supporting the communities they serve through the Cooperative Contributions Program. Dairyland and Dunn Energy each donated $1,000.

The donation will support the library's Elevator Project, established in 2018 to improve accessibility. The community has since raised over $200,000 of the total $700,000 needed to improve this historic building which includes various renovations.

"As an electric cooperative, we're committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve," said Dairyland President and CEO Brent Ridge. "We are proud to support this initiative and the community's commitment to preserving history and making the library accessible to everyone."

In addition to community support, the library has been awarded two grants from the American Library Association that have been used toward the installation of an automatic door and improvements to the building's wheelchair ramp.
