On November 7-9, 2025, the International Intellectual Communications Forum was held in Wuxi, China, organized by the Media Corporation of China in cooperation with the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by Fan Yun, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Media Corporation of China (China Media Group), CGTN Editor-in-Chief, Xu Ying, head of the propaganda department, permanent member of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Jiang Feng, Mayor of Wuxi, and other high-ranking delegates from China and foreign countries. Chinese representatives reported on the experience of using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in various aspects of information work, including accompanying major public events and working with audiences, as well as efforts to improve AI regulation in the media sphere.

Oleg Kopylov, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, informed in his speech about the priorities of the Organization's work in the field of AI development. It was emphasized that the SCO member states, realizing both the opportunities offered by AI and the risks involved, including the use of such technologies for illegal purposes, have developed a number of multilateral agreements. The results of the SCO Tianjin Summit (September 1, 2025) were noted, during which a Statement was adopted by the heads of state on further deepening international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the SCO Deputy Secretary General held talks with a number of representatives of the leadership of the Media Corporation of China and other leading national media. In particular, at a meeting with the Chairman of the Management Board CCTV.COM During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on promising areas of interaction between the media and the Organization's Secretariat, including the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of working contacts aimed at increasing the SCO's representation in the information space, including in the year of its 25th anniversary (2026).
