Governor Meyer Orders the Lowering of Flags for September 11th

WILMINGTON -Today, Governor Meyer ordered all United States and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities to be flown at half-staff in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001, from sunrise on Thursday to sunset.

In recognition of 24 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Governor Meyer issued the following statement:

"We honor the memory of those we lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, and the families who have carried the weight of their loss ever since. We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. Patriot Day is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, we find strength in one another-and that we must always stand united to protect our nation."

This directive will run concurrently with the White House's order for flags to be flown at half-staff until Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET, following the passing of Charlie Kirk.
