Colorado Christian University Endowment Foundation Surpasses $1 Million in Annual Scholarship and Academic Support

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - The Colorado Christian University Endowment Foundation (CCUEF) has reached a historic milestone, approving $1,046,336 in Fiscal Year 2027 distributions to support student scholarships, faculty awards, and academic initiatives - the first time annual support has surpassed $1 million.

"This milestone represents far more than financial growth," said Eric Hogue, President of Colorado Christian University. "It reflects lives changed, barriers removed, and a deep commitment to ensuring that students called to Christ-centered education can pursue it without unnecessary financial burden. Every dollar distributed represents an investment in a future leader."

The FY27 distribution reflects the faithful stewardship of 87 individual endowment funds supporting scholarships, faculty excellence, and key institutional initiatives.

Expanding Student Impact

The growth of the Endowment Foundation has directly expanded student access. In 2025 alone, the Foundation supported 195 students, nearly doubling the number served in 2019, when 101 students received endowed support. During that same period, the number of endowed funds grew from 55 to 87, and total assets increased from $5.2 million to $15 million.

"This remarkable growth demonstrates the faithful generosity of donors who believe deeply in CCU's mission," said Daniel LaBry, President of the CCU Endowment Foundation and Vice President of University Advancement. "The million-dollar milestone we're celebrating is not simply a measure of dollars - it is a celebration of students' lives being transformed and futures being shaped for Christ. Affordability and accessibility to the academically rigorous, Christ-centered education we offer remains a top priority, and these endowed scholarships make that possible."

A Vision for the Future

While some endowment funds began with significant initial gifts, many of the Foundation's most impactful funds have grown steadily through consistent annual contributions - demonstrating how sustained generosity creates lasting change.

The long-term vision is clear: to continue expanding endowed resources so that every qualified student who desires a Christ-centered education has access to the support they need.

Through strategic stewardship and faithful partnership, the CCU Endowment Foundation continues to strengthen the university's ability to support students academically, spiritually, and professionally - preparing graduates to influence culture with grace and truth for generations to come.
