Commercial property owners, business owners and non-profits invited to attend online information session about claiming tax credits on solar energy projects

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia Office of Sustainability invites business owners to attend an informational event to learn more about Solarize Columbia, a community-led campaign designed to make solar energy and battery storage more affordable across Columbia and Boone County.The event will be held 12:30 p.m. Sept. 30 on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/solarize-columbia-solar-workshop-for-businesses-and-nonprofits-tickets-1661211390989?aff=oddtdtcreator. It is free and open to the public.The Office of Sustainability supports initiatives like Solarize Columbia by connecting residents to resources that improve energy efficiency and by promoting programs that make renewable energy adoption more accessible.Solarize Columbia is a group-purchasing program that helps residents, businesses, and nonprofits reduce costs by investing in renewable energy together. The coalition includes the Sierra Club - Mid Missouri Group, Mid-Missouri Peaceworks, Renew Missouri, League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County and Solar Crowdsource.
