Bangladesh Betar Unveils New Digital Broadcasting Services

Broadcast Solutions has successfully planned, installed, and commissioned a 10kW FM radio station alongside a modern studio complex across two locations in Bangladesh, marking a significant upgrade to the country's radio broadcasting infrastructure.

The project was delivered in collaboration with local partner Paradise Engineering Ltd., combining local market expertise with Broadcast Solutions' global experience in system integration.

The new facilities represent a major investment by Bangladesh Betar, enabling enhanced content production and the development of new programming formats for local audiences. Since commissioning, the studios have been operating smoothly, supporting a range of broadcast and production activities.

Each of the on-air, backup, news, and editing studios is equipped with Studer OnAir 2500 audio mixers, while music and production studios feature Studer Vista 1 consoles. Audio routing is managed באמצעות a Studer Route 6000 matrix system. Additional equipment includes Sennheiser MK4 microphones, JBL studio monitors, and Beyerdynamic headphones.

The studios are powered by Winmedia radio automation software, supporting functions such as ingest, editing, scheduling, streaming, playlist management, and logging. Broadcast Solutions also oversaw the design and production of studio furniture for the control rooms.

All systems were manufactured, pre-assembled, and tested at the company's headquarters in Germany before being shipped to Bangladesh. The installation was completed on-site within eight months, ensuring a seamless rollout of the new infrastructure.
