Midterms are (finally) wrapping up, and you deserve a break. Take a minute to enjoy these fun events around campus.

The Nerd

Stage Troupe presents The Nerd, a show set in 1979 in Terre Haute, Ind. It centers on a young architect who is visited by an ex-GI who saved his life when he was wounded in Vietnam. The story of an awkward houseguest spirals into a chaotic and vengeful delight.

Thursday, March 26, through Saturday, March 28, 8 to 10:30 pm, Student Theatre at Agganis Arena, 925 Commonwealth Ave. Purchase tickets here.

Boston University Wind Ensemble's "Time & Place"

The BU Wind Ensemble will perform a program centered on music that evokes distinct times and places. The concert includes Bach transcriptions by Lucien Calliet and ends with Gotkovsky's "Poème du Feu." The free show is part of a residency by composer Jessie Montgomery.

Thursday, March 26, 7:30 to 9 pm, Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Ave.

Tote Bag Decorating

Who doesn't love a cute tote bag? Join the College of Fine Arts Student Government to decorate a tote bag and enjoy some pizza.

Friday, March 27, 5 to 7 pm, CFA first floor student lounge, 855 Commonwealth Ave.

Special Open Skate Night: Pride Community Skate

Lace up for a Pride Night at Case Athletic Center's Walter Brown Arena, where students can participate in a special open skate celebrating community, connection, and fun. Skate to a playlist inspired by the Heated Rivalry soundtrack; skaters of all identities and skill levels are welcome. This event is free, but students need to present their BU ID. Skates will be available for rental.

Saturday, March 28, 8 to 10 pm, Walter Brown Arena, Case Athletic Center, 285 Babcock St.

Gilmore Girls Trip to Connecticut

Fans of Gilmore Girls, take a scenic trip to the Hidden Valley Preserve and do the Bee Brooke Loop. The group will then head to Washington Depot to visit places that inspired the TV series, including the cafe that was the inspiration for Luke's. This event is hosted by the Outing Club.

Sunday, March 29, 8 am to 6 pm; for meeting place and additional information, reach out to [email protected].
