Citadel Donates $10,000 to Support Hurricane Relief for Credit Unions

On behalf of its employees and members, Citadel has donated $10,000 to The National Credit Union Foundation.

On behalf of its employees and members, Citadel has donated $10,000 to The National Credit Union Foundation to support credit union employees and volunteers affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The donation will go through CUAid, an online giving center for credit unions, and be directed to the National Credit Union Foundation Disaster Relief Fund.

In times of disaster, the National Credit Union Foundation raises and distributes funds to aid the affected region's credit unions, leagues, and other credit union organizations.

"There are 6,000 credit unions in the country, and in times of tragedy and disaster, we need to support one another," said Jeff March, president and CEO, Citadel. "The relief fund offered by the National Credit Union Foundation gives credit unions and members the opportunity to donate and make a difference for those communities in need."

The National Credit Union Foundation offers the only national online disaster relief fundraising center for credit unions. Through CUAid.coop, credit union organizations are encouraged to offer employees and members an online giving option to support the Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund, the only disaster relief fund dedicated to helping credit unions, their employees and volunteers recover from major disasters such as Hurricane Harvey.
