UToledo Celebrates National Transfer Student Week Oct. 20-24

The University of Toledo will celebrate its transfer students with five days of campus events, Monday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 24, as part of National Transfer Student Week.

National Transfer Student Week, which runs Oct. 20 through Oct. 24, is an annual event held at universities nationwide to celebrate transfer students and to raise awareness of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by transferring to a new university.

Events to celebrate National Transfer Student Week:

• Monday, Oct. 20, Tau Sigma Q&A - noon in Thompson Student Union Room 2561.
Come meet officers of the UToledo chapter of Tau Sigma, the only national honor society specifically for transfer students. Learn about chapter activities, scholarship opportunities and much more.

• Tuesday, Oct. 21, Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles - noon by the Thompson Student Union steps.
Join us for a dirty soda bubble bar and DIY bubble wand. The first 50 transfer students to pop by will take home bubbles. Visit Invonet for more event information.

• Wednesday, Oct. 22, Lawn Games with CASE - from noon to 2 p.m. in Centennial Mall. Continue the celebration of our UToledo transfer students and join the CASE team for lawn games. All attendees will be entered into a raffle for a Roku Streaming Stick. Visit Invonet for more event information.

• Thursday, Oct. 23, Popcorn & Possibilities - from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Room 1550. Discover how the Rocket Career Center can support your career plans and connect with fellow transfer students over cider and snacks. • Friday, Oct. 24, Transfer Night @ Rockets Volleyball - 6 p.m. in Savage Arena. Wrap up National Transfer Student Week with us at the Rockets Volleyball game. Transfer students can stop by the CASE office (Thompson Student Union Room 2518) at any time during National Transfer Student Week to grab a voucher for the Rocket Value Combo (hotdog, chips and beverage).
