Crime Map and Updates

Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Addresses listed are rounded to the hundred block. For a complete list of case reports, visit olympiawa.gov/p2c.

Notable Trends

  • Officers responded to two aggravated assaults this week with one still an open investigation. Officers arrested the suspect in one case after she kicked and hit the victim and threatened them with what appeared to be a real gun. It ended up being a realistic looking pepper-ball gun.
  • Two auto thefts reported. One was a 2010 Honda CRV. The other was a 2023 Ford F-150 that was fraudulently purchased from a dealership.
  • Three residential burglaries reported with one still an open investigation. Officers arrested suspects in the other two cases that were both violations of no contact orders.
  • One commercial burglary where the suspect pried a door to a pharmacy and stole some expired prescription medications.
  • Eight vehicle prowls reported. Some of the property stolen included clothing, jewelry, instruments, laptops, tools and a wallet. A firearm and ammunition were stolen from an unsecured vehicle. If you must leave a firearm in your vehicle, leave it in a locked safe that is secured to the car and lock your vehicle. Never leave a firearm in the vehicle overnight.

Other Items

  • Officers responded to 1,028 calls for service this week.
  • Officer Smith completed certification to be our newest Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). He completed 80 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of field certification to earn the credentials. DREs help with impaired driving enforcement and OPD has a strong history with them dating back to the 1990s. Way to go Officer Smith!
  • In this week's photo, one of our Neighborhood Officers visited a daycare and the kids got to see his patrol car.
