The Washington State University Teaching Academy welcomed 21 faculty from four campuses to its membership roster at an April 15 induction ceremony.
"We are pleased with the exceptional teaching accomplishments of our newest members, and the breadth of their disciplines will add greatly to the scope of our organization," said Kate Watts, academy chair. "We look forward to the new members' energy and enthusiasm, and to the many contributions they will make to the academy and to teaching effectiveness, professionalism, and scholarship at WSU."
The WSU Teaching Academy is made up of educators across the university who share advocacy, expertise, and resources to help faculty engage students in transformative learning experiences that lead to their academic success.
Watts thanked the membership committee and its chair, Sarah Whitley, for evaluating membership nominations and applications this year. The most recent previous induction of new members was in 2023.
