Pump Track
There's a new pump track at Isthmus Park! Our original pump track reached the end of its useful life after last season. Come on down and with you skateboard, scooter, or bike and give it a go!

Poetry
Join Olympia Poet Laureate Ocean for a fun, community-centered evening of crowdsourced poetry on April 27 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Orca Books. Bring a favorite poem to share or simply come listen and discover new voices in a welcoming, all-ages setting. No registration is required, and all poetry lovers are invited to take part.

Traffic Box Wrap Applications
Applications are open through April 29 for Olympia's 2026 Traffic Box Wrap Project, inviting local artists to transform everyday street fixtures into public art. Artists of any age living within 30 miles of Olympia City Hall can submit one image for consideration in the public voting process. Selected artists receive a $500 honorarium, recognition on the City website, and the opportunity to have their work displayed on a traffic box for 2 to 3 years. Since 2015, the program has added 81 wraps across the city while helping reduce graffiti and maintenance. Learn more and apply today.

Volunteer Opportunities
Join us for an upcoming Parks Stewardship Volunteer Opportunity! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments provided. Youth under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more or sign up at Volunteer Olympia.
Welcome Figure Installation and Landscaping Project
Construction continues at Isthmus Park to install a Welcome Figure by local Squaxin Island tribal member and carver Andrea Wilbur-Sigo, along with new landscaping and seating. Planting is happening on the site, near the base of the 4th Avenue bridge. Work should be completed in early May. Questions: [email protected]
