Pinnacle Financial Partners Ranks in Top 20 by Deposits in Washington, D.C. MSA

Firm rose to be the No. 16 largest bank in the market in less than four years

Pinnacle Financial Partners is moving up fast in the Washington, D.C. banking landscape. As of June 30, 2025, the firm ranked No. 16 in the MSA by deposits, according to FDIC data-up from No. 24 just a year earlier. Total deposits in the region climbed to $2.19 billion, a year-over-year increase of $1.2 billion, or 120.2 percent.

Statewide in Virginia, Pinnacle is the No. 11 bank by deposits at June 30, 2025, with $3.16 billion and 0.97 percent of market share. In Roanoke, the firm is the No.4 largest bank by deposits, achieving 11.19 percent annual growth to a total of $890.76 million and 10.28 percent of market share at June 30, 2025. And in Lynchburg, Pinnacle notched $85.5 million in deposits for 1.40 percent market share and a No. 12 ranking.

Across its footprint, Pinnacle grew deposits in 23 out of 27 MSAs in which it operates, including eight with double-digit growth and three with triple-digit growth. The firm grew share in 22 of those markets and was a top five grower in 15 of those.
