Greensboro Parks and Recreation Sets Schedule for Teen Night Series

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department will host its Teen Night series this summer at local recreation centers across the City beginning June 23, and running through August 13.

Monday Pool Party
Date: Monday, June 23
Time: 6-8 pm
Location: Warnersville Recreation Center, 601 Doak St.
Teens will be able to swim and play pool games/board games while enjoying popsicles, lemonade and light snacks.

Open Gym
Date/Location:
June 20, Brown Recreation Center, 302 E. Vandalia Rd.
June 30, Glenwood Recreation Center, 2010 Coliseum Blvd.
July 11, Griffin Recreation Center, 5301 Hilltop Rd., Jamestown
July 30, Leonard Recreation Center, 6324 Ballinger Rd.
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Teens have the opportunity to play basketball during open gym sessions.

Skate Night and Paint
Date: Monday, July 14
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Location: Craft Recreation Center, 3911 Yanceyville St.
Teens can bring their own skates or use rental skates for free. There will also be portraits available to paint while enjoying snacks and lemonade.

Laser Tag
Date: Friday, August 1
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Location: Lindley Recreation Center, 2907 Springwood Dr.
Laser tag in the dark. The gym will be set up as an obstacle course for the teens to partake in laser tag - where they will be split into groups. The game room will also be available for video games, basketball, and more.

Glow in the Dark Dodgeball
Date: Friday August 8
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Location: Lewis Recreation Center, 3110 Forest Lawn Dr.
Teens will spilt into two teams as they compete in glow in the dark dodgeball. All equipment is available at no charge. Lemonade and snacks will be available.

Basketball and Games
Date: Wednesday, August 13
Time: 6-8 pm
Location: Peeler Recreation Center, 1300 Sykes Ave.
Basketball will take place on the outside courts at Peeler, along with other games and activities going on in the field for the teens to engage in. They can bring their own games, skates, etc. Popsicles, lemonade, and light snacks will be provided.
