Important information regarding the Canada Post strike

The ongoing Canada Post strike has caused most regular mail service to be suspended. If you have time-sensitive documents or payments that need to be submitted to the Commission, please consider using our self-serve portal, using a courier or calling the Commission with your credit card payment information.

We are actively working to ensure that our communications reach their intended recipients. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to monitor the situation. Contact us for more information.

Read below for more sector-specific information:

Securities:

All required filings by market participants should be made by courier or email, unless the filing is required to be made through SEDAR+, SEDI or NRD.

Pensions:

Pursuant to section 81 of the Pension Benefits Act, the Superintendent of Pensions has extended the time limit for providing annual statements to members and former members due prior to September 30, 2025, to no later than 30 days following the conclusion of the postal strike. The Superintendent is satisfied that the current postal strike is reasonable grounds to extend this time limit.
