Pueblo Police Department Makes Arrest after Investigation of Double Shooting, Homicide of David Trujillo

Pueblo, CO― The Pueblo Police Department has arrested Destiny Trujillo, 24, on a Second-Degree Murder charge in the death of David Trujillo, 45.

On December 26, at approximately 1:53 a.m. Pueblo Police responded to the 1100 block of Egan Ave. on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a conscious male with a gunshot wound and an additional male who was declared deceased. Officers initiated an investigation, engaging the Pueblo Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit and Crime Scene Investigations. Trujillo's death marked the City's 20th homicide in 2024.

Destiny Trujillo was arrested and booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center on January 30.
