NTCA Meets with FCC Staff to Discuss Update of the USF Cost Model
(October 19) In meetings with the FCC, NTCA staff discussed the need for a refresh of the cost assumptions that form the basis of the universal service fund cost model. As NTCA stated, the commission cannot meet its statutory duty and tackle the connectivity needs of rural consumers for 2026 and beyond based on outdated assumptions as to what costs members incur to meet these needs.
