Gabriel Williams - January Student Leader of the Month

The Division of Student Affairs is proud to recognize Gabriel Williams as our January Student Leader of the Month. Gabriel exemplifies the leadership excellence and dedication that makes Lincoln University of Missouri a vibrant community for all students.

About Gabriel

Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Gabriel is a junior pursuing a major in Broadcast Journalism, a path that reflects his passion for storytelling and amplifying voices within his community. His academic focus demonstrates a clear commitment to using media as a platform for positive change and representation.

Currently, Gabriel holds the title of Mister Junior, representing his class with distinction. He is also an accomplished member of the Blue Tiger Track Team, balancing athletic excellence with his academic pursuits. As a student writer for the campus newspaper, Gabriel uses his journalistic skills to share important stories across campus. Additionally, he serves as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund Yard Ambassador, a ROAR Agent, and an SGA Intern, showcasing his diverse involvement in programs that strengthen student engagement and campus life. Gabriel is a proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and serves as a Blue Tiger Ambassador, further demonstrating his commitment to leadership and service.

Leadership Philosophy

Gabriel lives by the inspiring quote: "For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it." This philosophy perfectly captures his approach to leadership-one characterized by hope, courage and the belief that each person has the power to be a source of light and positive change in their community. This mindset has been instrumental in his success as a student leader and continues to inspire those around him.
