Supporting students during National Homeless Youth Awareness Month
November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, a time to recognize and support the nearly 4,000 Dallas ISD students who experience housing instability each year. The district's Homeless Education Program provides critical support through staff training, resource connections, and student engagement to ensure access to education and home stability. Community members can help by donating through the program's Amazon wishlist, contributing food to campus pantries, volunteering, or supporting drop-in centers that provide essentials to students in need.
