Department of Solid Waste to Close on Christmas Day

In observance of the Christmas holiday, the City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025. No garbage, bulky trash, or recycling services will be provided on this day.
Residents who normally receive recycling service on weeks 2 and 4 will have recycling collected on Wednesday, December 24. All other services will return on the next regular collection day.
The Mini Dump Facility, located at 1290 N.W. 20th Street, will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, and will resume normal operating hours on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proof of Miami residency is required.
