America's 250th Celebrated in Riverfront Park with Incredible Lineup

Spokane, Wash. - Riverfront Park is honored to host an incredible Independence Day celebration to mark America's 250th anniversary.

The weekend kicks off early, with the Summer Carnival presented by ICCU running July 1-5. The event features classic rides, games, food and market vendors. Admission is free, and ride tickets can be purchased on site (varying from single tickets to unlimited rides). Carnival hours vary by date, please check the website for full details and schedule.

July 4th , presented by ICCU, will feature a special Independence Day stage in the Lilac Bowl to host music, fun, and fireworks. Join us for a Spokane Symphony Concert presented by ICCU, featuring MasterClass Big Band, all capped off with a spectacular fireworks display over the Spokane River.

"We are excited to come together as a community to celebrate America's 250th birthday!" said Mayor Lisa Brown. "Everyone is invited to join us in Riverfront Park for live music, family-friendly activities, and fireworks as we celebrate this historic milestone together."

"Great music has great power to unite and bring us together, and that spirit is especially prevalent during the July 4th celebration," said Spokane Symphony Executive Director Steve Wenig. "The Spokane Symphony is honored to play a key role in this event, sharing in a moment of community with everyone gathering to enjoy the festivities in Riverfront Park."

Schedule for the 4th of July Celebration presented by ICCU:

  • 10 - 11 a.m., or noon - 1 p.m. - Independence Day Themed Historic Tours
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Clock Tower chime rededication
  • Noon - 11 p.m. - Summer Carnival and vendors open
  • 5:30 p.m. - Beer Garden opens in the Lilac Bowl
  • 5:30 - 7 p.m. - MasterClass Big Band
  • 8:45 - 10 p.m. - Spokane Symphony
  • 10 p.m. - Fireworks celebration

The Clock Tower chime rededication at 11:30 a.m. will be a moment to officially welcome back the historic chimes of the tower, after about a decade of silence.

For concerts and fireworks, please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Picnics are always welcome, but outside alcohol is not permitted. Vendors will be on site selling food and beverages.

The carnival is presented by ICCU and sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. The July 4th fireworks and concert are presented by ICCU and sponsored by Coca-Cola and Michelob Ultra.
