'Pet of the Week'

In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.

This week's featured pet is Vesper, a 4-year-old female Retriever/Labrador mix. Vesper is a lovely girl who came to the shelter in November with a group of dogs. She has been sweet since the day she came in and would love to find a home that matches her loving nature. She is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.

Anyone interested in Vesper can submit an application through the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on her picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. If approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for an in-person visit with Vesper.

To see all animals available for adoption, visit the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com.
