DALLAS - Tomorrow, Jan. 31, is the final day to apply for Dallas ISD specialty schools and Legacy School transfers. Families can submit applications for a wide range of programs, including P-TECH, magnet, STEAM/STEM, Montessori, personalized learning, project-based learning, transformation, visual & performing Arts, and dual language schools.

Jesus Moroles students lead through art and service
Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard made Dallas ISD history by launching the district's first National Elementary Art Honor Society as a pilot program. The new chapter recognizes excellence in art, character, and service while giving young artists leadership opportunities and real-world impact through community projects. From campus art markets to service initiatives, students are using creativity to give back and inspire their school community.

Students at Dr. Frederick Douglass Todd Sr. Middle School had a unique opportunity to meet and learn from the first Black female NFL coach, Colette Smith, during a special campus visit today. Student-athletes heard her story, gained insight into leadership and perseverance, and participated in a Q&A session, discussing Smith's career and path to success.
