To the Members of the United States Congress:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports the compromise agreement forged by members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees on S. 1071, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.

This bipartisan, bicameral legislation will strengthen our national security and support American businesses that span the federal contracting supply chain, supplying everything from foundational components to major weapon systems for the Department of Defense. We are pleased that this bill includes important provisions to reform the outdated acquisition process within the Department. In addition, the Chamber has long supported multi-year procurement contracts and efforts to involve businesses of all sizes in the acquisition process.

We firmly back a strong defense industrial base and the ability of federal contractors to deliver the products, systems, and services that the Department requires to fight and win current and future conflicts. We look forward to the passage of this important legislation, and its signing into law by the President of the United States.

Sincerely,

Neil Bradley

Executive Vice President, Chief Policy Officer,

and Head of Strategic Advocacy
