Schedule: Construction starts Wednesday, May 20, from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Marin County - Caltrans is scheduled to begin work on the State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) retaining wall project on Wednesday, May 20. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of August 2026.

One-way traffic control will be utilized to construct the retaining wall at Stewart Drive between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. the next mornings, Mondays to Fridays.

One-way traffic control will be utilized during nighttime hours to minimize traffic disruptions. This approach aims to reduce the impact on daily traffic flow as much as possible.

The purpose of this project is to stabilize the roadway and upgrade guardrails to meet the current standard.

The proposed work would prevent further deterioration and costly future repairs as well as extend the service life of the road. This project will increase road safety and reliability for the travelling public.
