U.S. Energy Development Corp. Targets More M&A After $550MM Spent YTD

U.S. Energy Development Corp. has been quietly strengthening its presence in the Permian Basin, having closed more than $500 million in deals in the region so far this year.

The Fort Worth-based E&P focused much of its acquisition and joint venture activity so far this year on the Delaware Basin, adding producing wells and future drilling inventory as part of a broader growth strategy, said U.S. Energy CEO Jordan Jayson.

But though the Permian remains the centerpiece of its acquisition strategy, U.S. Energy is also expanding beyond the basin.

U.S. Energy completed about $550 million in acquisitions and joint ventures year-to-date, adding 175 wells across Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota and Wyoming.
