Water Safety Day

The City of Pembroke Pines Recreation, Fire and Police Departments will be hosting a special Water Safety Day on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10 am to Noon at the Pembroke Pines YMCA Aquatic Center, located at 1361 NW 129th Avenue. Everyone is invited to "Slide into Safety" - a day filled with water related activities, giveaways, a live DJ and food. There will also be demonstrations on how to be safe in the water and many other important safety tips. Participants are asked to bring their own swimwear and towels. May is National Water Safety Month, established to bring awareness to the importance of water safety and drowning prevention. As a Water SMART Community city, Pembroke Pines works with various cities in Broward County to promote safe water practices year round.
