Robinhood Social is Now in Beta

Last fall at HOOD Summit: Enter the Mainframe, we announceda suite of new trading products as part of our mission to make Robinhood the #1 place for active traders. One of the products we previewed was Robinhood Social, a trading community within the Robinhood app that offers live, verified trades and authentic profiles, where customers can discuss strategies, follow others, and more.

We're excited to announce Robinhood Social beta is rolling out now to a select group of our most active and engaged traders on Robinhood. We'll start with 1,000 customers who attended HOOD Summit in September, before expanding to an additional 10,000 customers over the coming weeks. Those who are selected for the beta program will hear from us directly.

So, what is Robinhood Social?

In case you missed the HOOD Summit keynotelast fall, here's a quick refresher. We've heard directly from active traders that they rely heavily on social media to navigate the markets. But in this day and age, it's harder than ever to understand what's real and what isn't. We're hoping to change that with Robinhood Social, where customers will be able to follow other Robinhood traders, swap strategies, discuss market moves, and trade with clarity. Plus, they can trust that every customer profile belongs to a real person, verified through KYC.

The Robinhood Social beta will launch with an initial set of features, with more to follow over time. Today, these customers will be able to:

• Create a trader profile: Create their own custom profiles so they can share their stats and trades-all verified live. They can watch trades unfold live and see exactly when someone enters or exits a position. No more second-guessing what's real and what isn't.

• Post, track, talk, and trade: Discuss strategies, follow other traders, comment and like posts, and manually trade directly from their feed if they wish. During beta, customers will be able to post trades across stocks, single-leg options, crypto, and prediction markets.

• See traders' real performance: Check 1-year and daily P&L, profit rate, and dive into past trades for other traders.

Other features, like news feeds, trade posting for futures and multi-leg options, as well as the ability to follow insiders, hedge funds, and politicians, will roll out in beta soon.

The initial group of beta testers have been carefully selected based on a number of criteria including trading activity and frequency, and user experience research. This group of customers will give us important insights into what people want out of a social trading platform, how they use the product on a daily and weekly basis, what they love most, and they will help us catch any missing features, shortcomings, or bugs.

The beta launch is a critical milestone for Robinhood Social as we continue to shape the product, understand what features customers are most interested in, further refine our content moderation policies, and prepare for general availability. During the beta we'll collect feedback from customers both directly and through inbound customer service requests, and we'll do a number of direct to customer field surveys.

Availability

Launching a safe, reliable, and fully compliant social trading platform is a massive undertaking, and it is something we take very seriously. For now, our primary focus is to build community, gather feedback, improve the product, and scale our rollout responsibly to ensure the best possible experience for customers.

We hope to move Robinhood Social out of beta as quickly as possible and will have more to share on general availability at a later date.
