University of the Ozarks President Richard Dunsworth will receive the inaugural Partners in Assessment Award from the Arkansas Association for the Assessment of Collegiate Learning (AAACL).

The award will be presented at the AAACL's annual fall conference on Nov. 5 at Hendrix College.

Selected by the AAACL board, the Partners in Assessment Award recognizes institutional administrators "who support and emphasize the importance of assessment, focusing on its purpose of improvement."

"Your leadership demonstrates this commitment as a priority at the institution and through all the ways you positively impact the profession and higher education," the citation reads. "Your involvement with the association, across the state, and around the country makes a difference. We gratefully acknowledge and want to honor your contributions."

"I'm deeply honored to receive this recognition from AAACL," Dunsworth said. "Meaningful assessment is essential to our mission of providing an exceptional educational experience. At Ozarks, we believe in continually evaluating how we serve our students, celebrating what we do well and finding ways to do even better. I'm proud to share this honor with our dedicated faculty and staff who embrace that commitment every day."

AAACL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports assessment and higher education professionals working to further efforts in continuous improvement across the state of Arkansas. AAACL provides professional development, community support, collaboration opportunities, and peer-to-peer networking.
