You're invited to help shape the future of the Sports Court Area at Maidu Regional Park.
On
Thursday, April 9 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting at the Maidu Community Center to learn more about proposed renovations and share their input. The meeting will provide an opportunity to review updated concepts, ask questions and participate in the planning process.
The project stems from earlier discussions about repurposing the park's inoperable batting cages. A proposal to convert the space into pickleball courts generated a wide range of feedback, with some community members supporting the addition of pickleball and others expressing interest in restoring batting facilities.
In response, updated plans now include multiple options, such as adding two pickleball courts and exploring the inclusion of batting tunnels. The goal of the meeting is to gather additional community input to help guide the final design.
Community participation is a key part of this process, and all interested residents are encouraged to attend.
