Joe Toth to Retire After More Than 40 Years; Patrick Werner Appointed SVP, Chief Operating Officer
Dollar Bank today announced that Chief Operating Officer Joe Toth will retire on September 30, 2026, after more than 40 years with the Bank. Patrick Werner will assume the role of SVP, Chief Operating Officer effective October 1, 2026.
Toth joined Dollar Bank in 1986 as a Senior Consultant and has been part of the Bank's growth and change ever since. He worked across several areas of the organization, developing a deep understanding of Dollar Bank's operations and the teams that support them. That experience served him well when he became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2018.
Throughout his career, Toth brought a practical, measured approach to the work in front of him. His wide-ranging experience helped him guide important operational and organizational priorities, while his ability to understand both the details and the Bank's broader direction made him an important voice in many strategic initiatives. Most recently, he led Dollar Bank's bank-wide Salesforce launch, a critical platform that will shape how the Bank does business for decades to come and improve the experience for employees and customers.
"Joe has been a leader people trust-steady, principled and focused on doing what is right for Dollar Bank and the communities we serve," said Jim McQuade, President and CEO of Dollar Bank. "His service includes strengthening our relationship with the business programs of Duquesne University as our primary liaison. I am grateful for all Joe has given to the organization, and I wish him the very best in the years ahead."
Werner first joined Dollar Bank in 2001, working in Branch Banking before leaving in 2004. He rejoined the Bank in 2007 and has continued to take on broader responsibility across Branch Banking, Branch Support and Operations Management. That experience gives him a practical understanding of how Dollar Bank's teams serve customers, solve problems and support the Bank's daily work.
As Chief Operating Officer, Werner will oversee the Bank's operations and help advance the work underway to strengthen how Dollar Bank serves employees and customers. His approach reflects the importance of performing operations correctly and effectively, coordinating closely across teams, and using technology to improve efficiency and make it easier for customers to do business with the Bank.
"One of Dollar Bank's greatest strengths is the depth of talent across our organization," McQuade added. "Patrick's appointment reflects the leadership bench that has been thoughtfully developed over many years and our commitment to ensuring a seamless transition for employees, customers and stakeholders."
Toth's retirement will be effective September 30, 2026, and Werner will begin in the role on October 1, 2026.
