Marco Boglione awards the Premio Cavour 2026 (Cavour Prize) to Ernesto Olivero

On Sunday, September 20th, in Santena (Turin), the Cavour Foundation President Marco Boglione awarded the Premio Cavour 2026 (Cavour Prize) to Ernesto Olivero, founder of Sermig and the Arsenale della Pace in Turin, for «his determination to defeat hunger through a concrete culture of solidarity, his commitment to continually engaging new generations, and his exceptional ability to build networks of international dialogue». During the ceremony in the Scuderie Garden of the Cavourian Pole, Michelangelo Dotta's documentary «Il Sogno» was screened, chronicling the founding and history of the Arsenale and Sermig. By the numbers, since 1964: Sermig has contributed more than 3,487 years' worth of volunteer work - totaling over 30 million hours - carried out 3,885 humanitarian interventions, and provided nearly 32 million meals. The Cavour Prize marks its 20th edition this year.
