Over 100,000 passengers travel through ABE in July

(Hanover Township, PA) - In July, 102,634 passengers used Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) - a 0.6% increase from the previous year and the best month on record for ABE.

"These record numbers reflect the tremendous support from regional air travelers choosing to Fly Local and Fly ABE. Our entire airport staff deserves a lot of recognition for their commitment to delivering the highest level of service during the annual summer surge," said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, Delta Airlines jumped 16.2%, United Airline increased 10.9% and Allegiant Air rose 3.8%. Meanwhile, American Airlines declined 22% compared to July 2024.

New service this Fall!

Last month, Allegiant Air announced nonstop service from ABE to Fort Myers, Florida (RSW) starting on November 13, 2025. Flights are scheduled to operate on Thursdays and Sundays.

"Over the years, Fort Myers has been requested by passengers as a destination that provides great access to Gulf Coast beaches and many other family-friendly attractions," said Stoudt.

ABE has been busy this summer with air service news, as United Airlines expanded air service to Chicago O'Hare International Airport with a third daily flight that began August 19th.
