Love explosion: Netflix releases a fun and emotional official trailer for the film Caramelo, starring Rafael Vitti and the dog Amendoim

São Paulo, September 10, 2025 - Get ready for cuteness, emotion, and an irresistible urge to squeeze! The film Caramelo, starring Rafael Vitti and the dog Amendoim, has just had its official trailer released by Netflix. There are moments of pure sweetness, touching scenes, and that special touch of Brazilian flair that only a "caramelo" (a typical Brazilian caramel-colored mutt) can provide. Premiering on October 8, the film directed by Diego Freitas (Beyond the Universe) tells the story of a chef and a caramel-colored stray dog who become best friends after an encounter that changes their lives forever.

Pedro (Rafael Vitti) is about to fulfill his dream of running a restaurant when an unexpected diagnosis turns everything upside down. With the help of the friendly dog Caramelo, he embarks on a journey of rediscovery and connection, finding meaning and inspiration in the present-and a lifelong friendship.

The first film starring Brazil's iconic mutt dog, Caramelo is a drama that will make you both laugh and get emotional by celebrating the unique bond of companionship between pets and humans. The cast also includes Arianne Botelho, Noemia Oliveira, Ademara, Kelzy Ecard, Bruno Vinicius, Roger Gobeth, and Olívia Araújo, as well as Cristina Pereira, Carolina Ferraz, and a special appearance by chef Paola Carosella.

Produced by Migdal Filmes in its first partnership with Netflix, Caramelo has a script by Diego Freitas (original idea), Rod Azevedo and Vitor Brandt, in collaboration with Carolina Castro and with Marcelo Saback's consulting. Animal trainer Luis Estrelas is also in charge of animal welfare on set, with American trainer Mike Miliotti (Garfield - The Movie) consulting.
