The City of North Port has been awarded a Gold Hermes Creative Award for its video, "The Work That Moves Us," earning international recognition for excellence in public sector storytelling.

The Hermes Creative Awards is one of the largest international competitions honoring creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. Entries are received from across the United States and around the world, with winners representing a wide range of industries, including global brands such as PepsiCo, Fidelity Investments and Yamaha Motor Corporation.

Multimedia Specialist Cody Dynarski's award-winning video was recognized in the Government Video category, which also included winners from Saudi Arabia and California. The Gold Award represents a high level of achievement in the competition and places the City among top-tier creative communicators worldwide.

"The Work That Moves Us" highlights the people, purpose and impact behind City operations, showcasing how public service shapes the daily lives of residents. The project reflects North Port's commitment to transparent communication and meaningful community engagement.

"This recognition reinforces the importance of telling our story in a way that connects with our community and beyond," Communications Manager Jason Bartolone said. "We are proud to be recognized on an international stage alongside some of the most respected organizations in the world."

The Hermes Creative Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization that evaluates entries based on creativity, message effectiveness and overall impact.
