Traffic Alert: Sunset Avenue Closure

There was a fire at 5.26 a.m. this morning on one of the railroad crossing arms, which left the equipment inoperable. The railroad plans to complete repairs on Saturday, December 6. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Suisun and Fairfield officers closed Sunset Avenue in both cities because of the damage. Trains will move through the area at a slower speed with railroad employees on site.

The City will share updates when new information becomes available.
