TCTA's eUpdate emailed newsletter won a Gold Star and was named Best of Category in the 2026 Texas School Public Relations Association's Star Awards.
eUpdate stands out for its "clean, inviting masthead" and "very attractive" design that's "easy to read."
The category judge also said eUpdate's "interactivity keeps readers interested so they continue reading. Briefly summarizing stories, then leading readers to links to further information, really helps readers learn more overall, but offer deeper digs if they desire."
The Classroom Teacher magazine also won a Gold Star and our 2024 Christmas card won a Bronze Star during the awards, which were presented Feb. 18 at TSPRA's convention in Galveston.
The magazine stood out for its "well thought out covers both photographically and typographically," the category judge said. "The design has a strong structure that's clean, easy to read and fun."
While the holiday card wasn't among the top finishers this year, the judge praised its "nice, clear design" and liked that it was created for print and digital use.
The awards program recognizes the outstanding education communications and projects of TSPRA members. Independent, impartial judges evaluate each work and project based on set criteria and they award Gold, Silver and Bronze Star Awards, as well as Best of Categories, Certificates of Merit, Crystal Commendations and the Platinum Award for an all encompassing, year-long communications project.
TCTA competes against other associations and school districts serving more than 40,000 students.
