Lockheed Martin Delivers Second Shipment of Aegis System Equipped Vessel Shipsets and AN/SPY-7(V)1 Radar Equipment to Japan

MOORESTOWN, N.J. March 12, 2026 - Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), successfully delivered the second Aegis System Equipped Vessel (ASEV) shipset of AN/SPY-7(V)1 radar equipment to the Japan Ministry of Defense (JMOD). The delivery was facilitated through Mitsubishi Corporation under a Direct Commercial Sale arrangement.

Moving with Speed

In June 2025, Lockheed Martin completed the delivery of the first shipment of Aegis System Equipped Vessel AN/SPY-7(V)1 radar equipment to Japan. Achieving all delivery milestones demonstrates Lockheed Martin's commitment to strengthening defense capabilities throughout the Indo-Pacific.

Full system integration and testing of the complete second shipset of equipment will be conducted prior to final equipment delivery to Japan, which significantly reduces integration risk and enables on-schedule commissioning.

The JMOD is acquiring two ASEVs, and both are on track for commissioning in Japan Fiscal Year 2027 and 2028.
