Since Flow launched last year, you've created over 1.5 billion images and videos for creative projects ranging from films to music videos to product campaigns.

Along the way, you've told us you're looking for more than just a video generation tool. We hear you: Today we're introducing a redesigned interface that brings image generation to the forefront, offers flexible asset management, and gives more precise control over editing.

Here is how we are giving you the tools to create, refine and compose your stories in a single, seamless workflow.

More ways to create with image and video

We are making it easier than ever to create across modalities. To streamline your workflow, the best capabilities from our image generation experiments - Whisk and ImageFX - are moving directly into Flow, so you can now generate, edit and animate everything in one unified workspace.

With Nano Banana now fully built into the core experience, you can create high-fidelity images and instantly use them as ingredients and frames for Veo video generations without ever leaving Flow. Plus, you can generate images for free in Flow.

We want to make this transition seamless for all of our early users: starting in March, you can opt in to transfer all of your Whisk and ImageFX projects and assets directly into your Flow library, so you never lose a beat in your creative process.

Combine multiple images and style references to generate cohesive video scenes.

Quickly find and reference specific assets in your library using the "@" symbol.

Bring static shots to life by turning high-fidelity images into video.

Flexible asset management

The creative process is rarely linear; it's messy, iterative, and collaborative. To better support creatives, Flow's new asset grid makes it easier to search, filter and sort across your images and videos, and group your assets into collections.

Organize your workspace by grouping related images and videos into Collections.

Toggle between view modes to scan your library or focus on specific details.

Drag images and videos within your interface to organize them or prompt with them.

Natural editing and precision controls

Move beyond the first draft and refine your vision using more natural, intuitive editing tools. You can now use the new lasso tool to precisely select an area of an image, and then use natural language to ask Flow for tweaks - like "remove the man" or "add Koi fish in the water." You can also draw directly on your images to tell Flow exactly what you want to change.

To further shape your story, we're also making it seamlessly extend a clip's length, add or remove objects in videos, or orchestrate camera motion.

Keep the story going by generating what happens next in a clip.

Seamlessly add new elements to your scene using simple text prompts.

Clean up your shots by instantly removing unwanted subjects or objects.

Direct your shot with precise camera movements like pans and zooms.

Start creating today

From conceptualizing mood boards to directing short films and launching product campaigns, these updates are here to help you bring your stories to life more seamlessly.

We can't wait to see what you make. Try the new Flow today at flow.google.
