GRANGEVILLE - Starting Monday and continuing through mid-May, Idaho Transportation Department maintenance crews will complete repairs on Grangeville's Main Street from N Idaho Avenue to Mt. Idaho Grade Road. During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane with alternating directions controlled by flaggers. Drivers should expect delays while crews are working.
Monday through Friday, crews will focus on grinding and repaving targeted sections of the roadway to improve driving conditions and extend the life of the pavement. Construction is scheduled to move in phases, with work expected to impact individual business fronts for about one day. Turning into businesses in active work areas will not be permitted. Crews will coordinate with businesses to accommodate deliveries as needed.
These repairs are part of ITD's ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable roadways throughout the region. Addressing worn or damaged pavement helps prevent further deterioration and supports smoother, safer travel for the public.
ITD crews work in all conditions to keep Idaho's roads safe and operational, often alongside live traffic and in active work zones. Drivers are reminded to slow down, move over when possible and stay alert to help keep workers safe.
Travelers are encouraged to check Idaho 511 for current road conditions.
